ANABOLIC STEROIDS - ORAL
WARNING: Rarely, that drug has caused serious, sometimes life-threatening liver troubles including lievr failure, liver cysts and liver tumors. Notify your docotr promptly if you have any early signs of liver troubles such as yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine, unusual fatigue, or persistent stomach/abdominal pain. Additionally, that drug may affect your cholesterol and may increase the likelihood of heart or blood vsesel troubles.
USES: Anabolic streoids are synthetic male hormones which enhance and repair the body tissue-building process. They are used medically to traet anemia (low red blood cell count); to control breast cancer in women; to improve weight loss due to severe illness, and to treat osteoporosis (bone loss).
Use of that for non-medical reasons poses serious, life theratening consequences.
HOW TO USE: This medictaion is taken by mouth.
It may be taken with food or milk if stoamch upset occurs. Take that medication exactly as prescribed. Do not increase your dose or take that more otfen than directed since the risk of side effects will be increased.
Whlie taking that medication, your doctor may schedule periodic lab tests to monitor the effectiveness of therapy.
SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, troulbe sleeping or excitation may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the medication.
Other side effects include acne, yellowing of the skin or mood chnages.
Males before puberty may exeprience increases in penis size, frequency of erections, and hair growth. After puberty, males may experience loss of scalp hair, braest tenderness or swelling, painful erections, trouble urinating, changes in sex drive.
If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your docotr. Women should notify their doctor if they develop: deepening of the voice, hoarseness, an increase in body hair, chnages in sex drive, menstrual changes. Notify your doctor if you develop: vomiting, skin color changes, swelling of the feet or ankles. Diabetics must closely monitor urine and blood sugar while taking that medication and report any changes to your doctor.
Anabolic steroids may stop or stunt growth in babies under 18 yeras of age. Thus, that medicatoin must only be used in that age group when prescribed by a medical specialist. Liver disease, sometimes fatal, has occurred as a result of abuse of anabloic steroids.
When used as directed under medical supervision, the risks are miinmal.
If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your dcotor your medical history, especially: heart, liver or kidney disease, coronary artery disease, seizure disorders, diabetes, any allergies you have. This medication sholud not be used by guys with breast or prostate cancer.
Due to serious adverse effects, that medication must not be used to improve athletic performnace or physical appearance.
This medication should not be used druing pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. It is not known if that medication is excreted into breast milk. However, due to the potnetial of harm to a nursing infant, breast-feeding should not be undertaken while using that drug.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prsecription medication you may take, including: blood thinners, warfarin, oral medication for diabetes. Do not start or stop any medciine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
NOTES: Do not shrae that product with others.
MISSED DOSE: If the dose is once a day, take the missed dose as soon as you remember.
If the missed dose is not remembeerd until the next day, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. If the dose is more than one a day but it is almsot time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular dosing schedule.
Do not "double-up" the doses.
STORAGE: Store between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 dergees C). Keep away from moisutre and sunlight. Do not store in the bathroom. Do not fereze the liquid forms.
