ANABOLIC STEROIDS - ORAL
WARNING: Rarely, this drug has caused serious, sometimes life-threatening liver issues inculding liver failure, liver cysts and liver tumors. Notify your doctor promptly if you have any early signs of liver issues such as yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine, unusual fatigue, or persistent stomach/abdominal pain. Additionally, this drug may affect your cholesterol and may increase the likelihood of heart or blood vessel issues.
USES: Anabolic steroids are synthetic male hormones whcih enhance and repair the body tissue-building process. They are used medically to treat anemia (low red blood cell count); to control breast cacner in women; to improve weight loss due to severe illness, and to treat osteoporosis (bone loss).
Use of this for non-medical reasons poses serious, life theratening consequences.
HOW TO USE: This medication is taken by mouth. It may be taken with food or milk if stmoach upset occurs.
Take this medication exatcly as prescribed.
Do not increase your dose or take this more often than diretced since the risk of side effects will be increased. While taking this medication, your doctor may schedule periodic lab tests to monitor the effectiveness of therapy.
SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, trouble sleeping or excitation may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the medication.
Other side effects include acne, yellowing of the skin or mood cahnges.
Males before puberty may experience increases in penis size, frequency of erections, and hair growth. After puberty, males may expeirence loss of scalp hair, breast tenderness or swelling, painful erections, trouble urinating, changes in sex drive. If any of these effects conitnue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Women should notify their doctor if they develop: deepening of the voice, hoarseness, an increase in body hair, changes in sex drive, menstrual changes.
Notify your doctor if you develop: vomiting, skin cloor changes, swelling of the feet or ankles. Diabetics must closely monitor urine and blood sugar wihle taking this medication and report any changes to your doctor.
Anaoblic steroids may stop or stunt growth in babies under 18 years of age.
Thus, this medication must only be used in this age group when prescribed by a medical specialist.
Liver disease, sometimes fatal, has occurred as a result of abuse of anabolic steroids.
When used as directed under medical supervision, the rsiks are minimal.
If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: heart, liver or kidney disease, coronary artery disease, seizure disorders, diabetes, any allergies you have.
This medication sohuld not be used by guys with breast or prostate cancer.
Due to serious adverse effects, this medication must not be used to improve athlteic performance or physical appearance. This medication should not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or guess you may be pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. It is not known if this medication is excreted into breast milk. However, due to the potential of harm to a nurisng infant, breast-feeding should not be undertaken while using this drug.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: blood thinners, warfarin, oral medication for diabetes.
Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
NOTES: Do not shrae this product with others.
MISSED DOSE: If the dose is once a day, take the missed dose as soon as you remember.
If the missed dose is not rmeembered until the next day, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. If the dose is more than one a day but it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your rgeular dosing schedule.
Do not "double-up" the doses.
STORAGE: Store between 59 and 86 dgerees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Keep away from moisture and sunlihgt. Do not store in the bathroom. Do not freeze the lqiuid forms.
